yes it is a real Law u can compared with the example in your daily life like when the Glass vessel falls on a hard floor they break but they do not break when they fall on a carpet bcoz... when a glass vessel falls frm height on a hard floor it comes to rest so the floor exerts a large force on the vessel and it breaks but if it falls on carpet the time duration in which vessel comes to rest, increases and so the carpet exerts a less force on the vessel and it does not break u can compared it with force =Mass into acceleration
