Newton’s equations of motions are used for a body moving with constant acceleration.

When a body starts it’s motion with velocity “u” and moves with a constant acceleration “a” then it’s velocty “v” after time “t” is given as
v = u + at

When a body starts it’s motion with velocity “u” and moves with constant acceleration “a” then the displacement “S” covered by the body when it reaches velocty “v” is given by the relation
v² - u² = 2aS

When a body starts it’s motion with velocity “u” and moves with constant acceleration “a” then the displacement covered by it after certain time “t” is given by
S = ut + 0.5at²
