hey I am giving you an example but I think you already know this.

we have a glass tumbler and we have kept a card(credit card or any visiting card) above it. we have sprinkle some powder above it so as to make the card almost frictionless. we put a coin above the card. when we strike/shoot the card, the card moves horizontally but the coin due to inertia of rest stays at rest and fall down on the glass tumbler.
