Newtons first law of motion states that,"If an object at rest will remain at rest or in if in motion will continues to remain in motion Until or unless an external unbalanced force acts on it."

For ex.:-1) If a book is on the table then ,for taking it in motion we have to apply an external force on it.
2) If the ball is thrown by a boller ,then to stop the ball also ,we have to apply an external force on it.
