Every action has equal and opposite reaction.

The statement means that in every interaction, there is a pair of forces acting on the two interacting objects.
The size of the forces acting on the two first object equals the size of the force on the second object.
Example: Scenario A) You pulling a wall with the force of 500N with a rope and Scenario B) You pulling an elephant with a rope with 500N.. in both of the case the results will be same.
Take my very own personal & ordinary example: When you slap someone on their cheek with your right hand the other person cheeks will hurt and so will your right hand.

So, there you go equal and opposite reactions.
I hope it helps.
