Examples;

• Inertia of rest-- When the bus is stationary and suddenly it starts moving then you observe a push backward, this is due to inertia of rest.
• Inertia of Motion--When a bus is in motion and suddenly break are applied then you realise a force pushing you forward, this is due to inertia of motion.
• Inertia of Direction---When the bus takes turns and changes its direction we feel a push opposite to that of the turn, this is due to inertia of direction.

Some of the real life examples are:

1.We fall forward when bus applies brakes and fall backwards when bus starts from rest position.

2. Some of the leaves get detached from a tree when we shake the branch of tree.

3. When carpet is beaten with a stick, dust comes out of it.

These all are examples of inertia.
