Information related to NGO: NGOs are non-Government organisations dealing with various issues for the betterment of the society.

The World Bank has divided NGOs into two broad groups.

They are -

1) Operational NGOs -They focus on the development projects.

2)

Advocacy NGOs -

They promote particular causes.

In spite of their independence from the government, some of the NGOs significantly depend on government funding.
