nichrome alloy and copper wires of same length and same diameter are connected one by one between two points of constant potential difference in which wire the heat will be produced at higher rate​

In the nichrome wire the heat will be produced at higher rate.

• The amount of heat produced by a conductor is dependent upon the following things -

1) Dimensions of the conductor.

2) Amount of flowing electricity.

3) Resistance of the conductor.

• Now,the first two things are same for the copper wire and nichrome wire.

• But,the amount of resistance of nichrome wire is much more than the amount of resistance of the copper wire.

• That's why,the amount of heat produced by the nichrome wire is more than the amount of heat produced by the copper wire.
