Nichrome and copper wires of same length and same radius are connected in series. Same current
passed through them. Why does the nichrome wire get heated first?

Nichrome wire gets heated first because since it has high resistivity it blocks the current passing through it which causes heating effect of current. Basically this happens because nichrome is a good Conductor but copper is better Conductor.

Its because copper is very good conductor of current and has only little resistence as compared with Nichrome
