The reason due to which nichrome wire gets heated early in comparison to copper wire is —

>> Nichrome is an alloy of nickel and chromium whereas copper is a metal .

As we know , alloy posses high resistivity than metals .

So , nichrome resists the flow of current mire and more and the energy gets dissipated more in the form of heat .

So , nichrome gets heated fastly in wire comparison to copper wire

Nichrome gets heated up faster.

This is because nichrome has a high specific heat resistance. Hence, its resistance increases with temperature.

Due to this property, it is used as a heating element.

Hope this helps :)
