Nichrome wire of length l and radius r has resistance of 10 ohm. How would the resistance of the wire change when only length of the wire is doubled

R = rho * L/A

10ohm = rho * l/3.14r*r

When doubled

 = rho * 2l/3.14r^2

 = 2 * rho l/3.14r^2

When 2 goes to the LHS

10/2 = 5

Therefore it becomes 5
