Answer:

25x16

Step-by-step explanation:

16cm/10cm = 8/5

this is enlarged to 5/2 ratio

(8/5)*X = 5/2

X = (5/2)x(5/8) = 25/16

length = 25cm

width = 16cm

Answer:

The new dimensions of picture of Nick's dog will be 40cm long and 25cm wide.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: length of the picture, L=16cm

Width of the picture, W=10cm

The aspect ratio of the picture will be 8:5

After the enlargement of picture with ratio 5:2,

The new dimensions of the picture will be:

The new length =\frac{5}{2} *16=40cm

The new width=\frac{5}{2}*10=25cm

After the enlargement the aspect ratio of the picture will remain same

40:25 ⇒  8:5

Therefore the new dimensions will be 40cm×25cm after the expansion of the picture.
