As a Victoria, a lot of people try to shorten my name. I think I was given my first nickname in 4th grade by my teacher.

Out of the blue, Mr. Huey was like, “Hey Victoria, can I call you V?”

It was awesome. Instead of having to write “Victoria” on all of my papers, I would literally write “V” and he knew exactly who’s paper it was.

(This was actually my fourth grade class.)
