Given,

Nidhi sold the camera to noopur at the profit of 10%.

Noopur sold the camera to Monika at the loss of 5%.

Purchasing price of Monika is Rs. 2090

To find,

The purchasing price of Nidhi.

Solution,

Let, the purchasing price of Nidhi = Rs. x

(Assume, x as a variable to do the further mathematical calculations.)

Purchasing price of Noopur = x + (x×10/100) = x + x/10 = Rs. 11x/10

Purchasing price Monika = 11x/10 - (11x/10 × 5/100) = 11x/10 - 11x/200 = 220x-11x/200 = Rs. 209x/200

According to the question,

209x/200 = 2090

x = 2090 × 200/209

x = 2000

Hence, the purchasing price of Nidhi is Rs. 2000
