Night of the scorpion is a poem which highlights the importance of education in the contemporary society. The poet's mother is stung by scorpion, but instead of taking the poor lady to a doctor the villager do various superstions on her. The victim and the mother is moaning and groaning of pain. Finally after 20 hours the the Scorpio lost it stung.

The first words uttered by the mother portrayed the beauty of motherhood, as she thanked God for leaving her children alone and stinging her instead.
