GIVEN :-

  • Each subject carries 100 marks.
  • Niharika got 90% marks in Science, 80% marks in Hindi 72% marks in English,
  • 100% marks in Mathematics and 95% marks in Social Science.

TO FIND :-

  • Percentage she got in overall subjects.

SOLUTION :-

Total marks = Total subjects × 100

Total marks = 5 × 100

Total marks = 500 marks

For Science , she scored 90% of 100marks.

→ (90/100) × 100

→ 90 marks

For Hindi , she scored 80% of 100 marks.

→ (80/100) × 100

→ 80 marks

For English , she scored 72% of 100 marks.

→ (72/100) × 100

→ 72 marks

For Mathematics , she scored 100% of 100 marks.

→ (100/100) × 100

→ 100 marks

For Social Science , she got 95% of 100 marks.

→ (95/100) × 100

→ 95 marks

Hence ,

Obtained marks = 90 + 80 + 72 + 100 + 95

Obtained marks = 437 marks

% = (Obtained marks/Total marks) × 100

= (437/500) × 100

= 43700/500

= 87.4%

Hence , Niharika obtained 87.4% percent.
