5. Now u have the lighter group which consists of 3 balls

6. Choose any 2 of 3 balls

7. Again put the 2 chosen balls one on each plate of balance

8. If both weigh equal then the 3rd one is the lighter ball ; otherwise the balance itself will identify the lighter one

9. Thus one can identify the lighter ball using the balance only 2 times
