Step-by-step explanation:

total \: no. \: of \: people = 9

no. \: of \: people \: spending \: rs15 \: each = 8

total \: money\: eight \: people \: spent =15 \times 8

=120

average \: of \: eight \: people =  \frac{120}{8}  \\  = 15

Given, that the ninth person spent 8 more than the average of 8 people.

money \: spent \: by \: ninth \: person = 15 + 8 \\   = 23

total \: money \: spent \: by \: all \: of \: th \: nine \: people = 120 + 23

 = 143

Therefore, all the nine people spent Rs 143 altogether.

for some reasons i thought of leaving but i stayed.

total no of people= 9

no of people spend rs 15 each= 8

total money 8 people spent= 15× 8 = 120

average= 120/ 8 = 15

money spent by 9th person = 23

total amount spent by all 9 people= 120+23= 143.
