Answer:

Rs . 105. 00

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the money spent be 9 th person be Rs. x

The eight people spent  = 60 x 8 = 480

Total money spent :       Rs. (480 + x)

Average of the money   = (480 + x) / 9

The question says : the ninth person spent ₹40 more than the averages

FRAMING EQUATION :

x  = 40 + (480 + x) / 9

x =  40 + 480/9 + x/9

x = 840 / 9 + x/9

8x/9 = 840 /9

8x = 840

x = Rs . 105. 00
