As long as Nipa is coming back at its original position, the displacement will be 0 no matter how many cycles Nipa completes.

Given :- Nipa completes one cycle on a circular path with a circumference of 314 m. Find the displacement by Nipa ?

Solution :-

we know that,

  • Displacement = final position - initial position = shortest distance covered .

since in circular motion we have,

  • Final position = initial position .
  • Displacement = final position - initial position
  • Displacement = final position - final position
  • Displacement = 0

therefore, no matter what is circumference of circular path, our displacement will be zero .

hence, we can conclude that, the displacement by Nipa is Zero.
