Age of Nisha after 10 years = 3/2 times

To Find:

Nisha's Age

Solution:

Let the age of Nisha be =  x

Le the age of Ruchi be = y  

According to question -

8 years ago  

= (x - 8) = 2(y - 8)

= x - 2y = -8 -- Equation 1

According to question -

10 years from now :-

= (x + 10) = (3/2)(y + 10)

=  2x + 20 = 3y + 30

= 2x - 3y = 10 -- Equation 2

Therefore, combining both the equations -

= 2(2x - 3y) - 3(x - 2y) = 2 × 10 - 3(-8)

= 4x - 6y - 3x - 6y = 20 - ( - 24)

= 4x - 3x - 6y + 6y = 20 + 24

 x = 44

Answer: Age of Nisha is 44 years
