Given conditions ⇒
Speed of the sound = 340 m/s.
Time taken by the sound to reach = 4 s

Using the Formula,
Distance = Speed × Time
∴ Distance = 340 × 4
   = 1360 m.

Hence, the distance between the Nitu and the lighting from her is 1360 m.

Hope it helps.

Answer:

1360 m

Explanation:

Suppose Nita is stood in open ground and she heard the lightning sound after 4 seconds of seeing it.

Given that,

Velocity of sound in air = 340 m/s

Time required = 4 seconds

To find: Distance between Nita and that Lightning

So,

Velocity = Distance / Time

340 m/s = Distance / 4 seconds

Distance = Velocity * Time

Distance = 340 * 4

Distance = 1360 meters

Therefore, the distance of Lightning from Nita is 1360 meters.
