Answer:

Nitrobenzene can be converted in to phenol in two distinct steps. In this step nitrobenzene is reduced by using Sn and conc. HCl to form aniline. In this step aniline is treated with NaNO₂ and HCl in cold condition to form benzene diazonium chloride,which on further treatment with water gives phenol.
