Nitrogen forms larger number of oxides than phosphorous. Give reason

Due to its smaller size it can perform effective multiple bonds while this ability to form multiple bonds decrease down the group due to increase in atomic radii. That's why nitrogen forms large no. of oxide as compared to phosphorus...
