Nitrogen is a critical element of the ecosystem because it is C) Labile.

The form of nitrogen is labile in nature that is it is subjected to constant change because each organism needs nitrogen in a different form. The plants use nitrogen after fixing them in the soil in the form of nitrates and nitrites.

After usage, this nitrates and nitrites are again converted to ammonia and then atmospheric nitrogen for the utilization for other organisms.
