Farmers who cultivate pulse crops like green gram, Bengal gram, black gram, etc. do not apply nitrogenous fertilizers during cultivation because these crops have "rhizobium bacteria".they have a bacteria on their root nodules which convert atmospheric nitrogen into nitrogenous compounds which was later absorbed by plant . they gain enough nitrogen for that so the farmers didnt need to apply nitrogenous fertilizer seperately
