N2O5 has to be diamagnetic as the molecule has even number of electrons (54) that are fully paired. Paramagnetism is due to the presence of one or more unpaired electrons in a species. Only odd-electron molecules like NO, NO2 and ClO2 are generally paramagnetic as they contain one unpaired electron each.
