- pH is very important because it states whether the unknown substance is acidic or basic or neutral.
- It has a limit upto 14
- If it indicates from 0 to 7, then it is an acid.
ex : concentrated sulphuric acid
hydrochloric acid
- If it indicates exactly 7, then it is a neutral substances.
ex : water
- If it indicates 8 to 14, then it is basic substance.
