Explanation

All the resistors are connected in parallel

Since current has different directions

So the effective resistance of resistors connected in parallel

Is equal to

1/R(p)=1/r(1)+1/r(2)+1/r(3).... (1)

Since three resistors are present

r1=2R, r2=2R, r3=R (given)

Substituting the value of the resistors in (1) we get

1/R(p)=1/2R+1/2R+1/R

1/R(p)=1+1+2/2R (L. C. M = 2R)

R(p) =2R/4(Reciprocal)

R(p) =R/2=1/2(R)

R(p)=0.5R
