9. A rectangular garden is 50 m long and 35 m
wide. It has a square rose garden of side 4 m.
It has some play area for children which is
16 m long and 10 m wide. In the remaining
area lawn is grown. Calculate (a) the play area

But, all the sides aren't equal so, 2×( l+b)= 2×(16+10)m=2× 26m = 52m

Therefore, 170m + 16m = 186m × 12m
