(i) Solar Energy:-

  • Solar power is energy from the sun that is converted into thermal or electrical energy.
  • Solar technologies can harness this energy for a variety of uses, including generating electricity and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial use.

(ii) Wind Energy:-

  • Wind energy describes the process by which wind is used to generate electricity.
  • Wind turbines convert the kinetic energy in the wind into mechanical power.
  • A generator can convert mechanical power into electricity.
  • Mechanical power can also be utilized directly for specific tasks such as pumping water.

(iii) Hydroelectricity:-

  • Hydroelectricity is electricity made by generators that are pushed by the movement of water.
  • It is usually made with dams that block a river to make a reservoir or collect water that is pumped there.
  • This causes the turbine to turn, which turns a generator which makes electricity.

(iv) Tidal Energy:-

  • Tidal energy is a renewable energy powered by the natural rise and fall of ocean tides and currents.
  • Some of these technologies include turbines and paddles.
  • Tidal energy is produced by the surge of ocean waters during the rise and fall of tides.
  • Tidal energy is a renewable source of energy.

(v) Nuclear Energy:-

  • Nuclear energy is energy in the nucleus (core) of an atom.
  • Atoms are tiny particles that make up every object in the universe.
  • In nuclear fission, atoms are split apart to form smaller atoms, releasing energy.
  • Nuclear power plants use nuclear fission to produce electricity.
