(i) Solar Energy:-
- Solar power is energy from the sun that is converted into thermal or electrical energy.
- Solar technologies can harness this energy for a variety of uses, including generating electricity and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial use.
(ii) Wind Energy:-
- Wind energy describes the process by which wind is used to generate electricity.
- Wind turbines convert the kinetic energy in the wind into mechanical power.
- A generator can convert mechanical power into electricity.
- Mechanical power can also be utilized directly for specific tasks such as pumping water.
(iii) Hydroelectricity:-
- Hydroelectricity is electricity made by generators that are pushed by the movement of water.
- It is usually made with dams that block a river to make a reservoir or collect water that is pumped there.
- This causes the turbine to turn, which turns a generator which makes electricity.
(iv) Tidal Energy:-
- Tidal energy is a renewable energy powered by the natural rise and fall of ocean tides and currents.
- Some of these technologies include turbines and paddles.
- Tidal energy is produced by the surge of ocean waters during the rise and fall of tides.
- Tidal energy is a renewable source of energy.
(v) Nuclear Energy:-
- Nuclear energy is energy in the nucleus (core) of an atom.
- Atoms are tiny particles that make up every object in the universe.
- In nuclear fission, atoms are split apart to form smaller atoms, releasing energy.
- Nuclear power plants use nuclear fission to produce electricity.
