  • that are axial bonda and equatorial bonds

PCl5 has two axial and three equatorial bonds

while the axial bonds are longer than equatorial bonds

hence axial bonds are reactive and breaks easily

they are alinged with angle of 180' with each other

and equatorial bonds make angle of 120'with axial bonds
