Total distance travelled by all the cars = 500000 x 16000 = 8 x $10^9$

For 6 km --- 1 Litre gasoline is needed

For 1 km --- 1/6 Litre gasoline is needed

there fore for 8 x $10^9$ km = 1/6 x 8 x $10^9$ = 1.3334 x $10^9$ L gasoline will be required
