No. of U.V. lines when an electron returns from 6th
excited state to 1st excited state in H-spectrum ?​

of spectral lines= 6(6–1)/2 = 15. Therefore, there are 15 spectral lines obtained on spectrograph when an electron jumps from 6th orbit to 1st orbit of hydrogen atom.
