The degree of the following sentence is positive.

After converting it from positive to the superlative degree it becomes-

''Ganga is the longest river in India.''

Here, 'long' turns into its superlative form 'longest'. 'No other' and 'as' are removed from the sentence for proper construction.

The meaning of both sentences remains the same.
