HOPE IT HELPS!

 \frac{(4x + 1)}{(3x - 1)}  =  - 2

multiplying  \: both  \: sides  \: by \:  (3x-1)

4x + 1 =  - 6x + 2

adding \:  6x  \: and \:  subtracting \:  1  \: both  \: sides

10x = 1

multiplying \: both \: sides \: by \:  \frac{1}{10}

x =  \frac{1}{10}
