Explanation:

(a) When Jasmin will invert the glass she will observe that the glass will hold the piece of cardboard. When water is filled till the brim and a cardboard is kept on it no air gap will be left between the water and the cardboard.

And when flipped the cardboard holds on the glass because the atmospheric pressure of the atmosphere pushes the cardboard upward as atmospheric pressure acts in all direction. And this pressure is greater than the water pressure which cardboard has on it. (its worth a try)

(b) Camel has broad bottom feet to help it walk easily on ground because the area of its feet is more so there is less pressure on the sand and hence doesn't sink in water.

(c) Pressure = \frac{Force}{Area}

    So..   35pa = \frac{250 N }{Area}

    Hence

Area = \frac{250}{35} = 7.14 m^{2}
