Step-by-step explanation:

consider ΔPQR,

P + Q + R = 180° ( sum of the angles of a triangle )

=> c+55° + 60° + 40° = 180°

=> c + 155° = 180° => c = 180° - 155°

=> c = 25°

Now, consider ΔPQS, ( where a + b = S )

=> 55° + 60° + a = 180°

=> 115° + a = 180°

=> a = 180° - 115°

=> a = 65°

similarly consider ΔPRS, ( where a + b = S )

=> c + 40° + b = 180°

=> 25° + 40° + b = 180° => 65° + b = 180°

=> a = 180° - 65°

=> a = 115°
