• they contains double bond .. that's why they are unsaturated hydrocarbon...
• they have high melting and boiling point ....

ALKYNES :-

• they consist of triple bond ... thats why they are also known as unsaturated hydrocarbon ...
• there melting and boiling point is little low ...
