first, what is tissue??
A group cells is called tissue.
plant tissue is divided into 4 types , they are:
●MERISTAMATIC TISSUE: the tissue which helps in growth and repair of plant. these are divided into 3 types , they are apical , lateral, intercalary meristematic tissue.
◇APICAL MERISMATIC TISSUE :
the apical meristem lies at the apex of the stem and the root of vascular plants. it contain apical cells. the initiation of growth takes place.
◇LATERAL MERISTEMATIC TISSUE:
it occurs on the sides almost parallel to the long axis of the root and stem.
it increases the width or grith of the stem and root.
◇INTERCALARY MERISTAMATIC TISSUE:
it occurs at the base of the leaves or at the base of internodes. it increases the length of the intenode.
●DERMAL TISSUE:
dermal tissue is the tissue that protects the plant.
it contain epidermis(outermost layer) , mesoderms(middle most layer), endoderms( inner most layer).
●GROUND TISSUE:
ground tissue helps in physical support.
it is divided into 3 types parenchyma, chollenchyma, sclerenchyma.
◇PARENCHYMA
parenchyma is widely distributed in plant body. they are found in the cortex of root , ground tissue in stems. the main function of parenchyma is to store food and assimilate food. they give mechanical support to the plant body by maintaining turgidity
