The answer is given below :

Now, 10 × 132

= 5 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 3 × 11

= 55 × 24

and

55 - 24 = 31

So,

10m² - 31m - 132

= 10m² - (55 - 24)m - 132

= 10m² - 55m + 24m - 132

= 5m(2m - 11) + 12(2m - 11)

= (2m - 11)(5m + 12),

which is the required factorization.

Step-by-step explanation:

10m^2- 31m-132

10×-132=-1320

-1320 can be divided with a number it should equal to -31can be divided by 24 and -55 will satisfy as 24- 55

equals -31

so 10m^2-31m-132= 10m^2 +24m-55m - 132m

= 2m ( 5m+12)-11(5m+12)=(5m+12)(2m-11)
