See ,there are some peoples in thw world which shares their title as one or two .
In this case , both the person " Bankim Chandra Chatterjee " and " Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay " both are same .
Only matter is tha , their title differs but the person is same .

So , both are correct .

You can also take another guy ,
" Rabindranath Thakur " and " Rabinbranath Tagore " , both are same here too only title differs .

So , Both names are correct .

chattarjee is the short form of chattopadhyay ...and in the same way mukharjee is the short form of mukhopadhyay....hope it helps....please mark as brainliest if u like my answer
