40×5/18= 11.11 m/s is the velocity of train..
acc=velo/time
=11.11m/s/600s
=0.0185 m/s^2
will be the acceleration...

here, u =0
v= 40 km/h or
v =40  \frac{5}{18}  \:  \:  \:  \: m/s
and t =10 mins or 600 secs

by first equation of motion,
v = u + at
therefore, plugging the values aa given in it,
40 \frac{5}{18}  = 0 + a(600)
\frac{5}{18}  = 15a
or,
 \frac{1}{18}  = 3a
or,
a =  \frac{1}{18}  \:  \: m/ {s}^{2}
