What is pressure?

The perpendicular force acting on per unit area. It is a scalar quantity (has magnitude but no direction as it acts on all directions).

LIQUID PRESSURE :

The pressure exerted by liquids is termed as liquid pressure.

In liquids, the pressure is equal at the same depth. The pressure is exerted on all the directions. Pressure exerted by the liquid at the bottom depends on the height of it's column. Pressure increases with increase in depth.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here, the pressure at :

Pb and Pc are equal (Pressure exerted at the same depth is equal)

The minimum pressure will be at Pa followed by Pb and Pc. Pd will have a pressure greater than Pa, Pb and Pc but lesser than Pe.

The maximum difference will be from Pa and Pe as we know that pressure exerted will be the maximum at the bottom.
