There are some major factor on which heat produced in current carrying conductor depends upon. Some of the major ones are: Resistance of the conductor: Heat produced in conductor is product of square of the current and resistance ie (P=I*I*R). So, higher the resistance of the conducting wire, more is the loss in it.

ANSWER...
1)-RESISTANCE
THE MORE RESISTANCE THE MORE HEAT WILL BE PRODUCED.
2)-CURRENT
IF MORE CURRENT WILL FLOW THERE WILL BE MORE COLLISIONS OF ELECTRONS AND THUS MORE WILL BE THE RESISTANCE AND THE HEAT PRODUCED WILL ALSO BE MORE.
3)-MATERIAL OF WIRE
A GOOD CONDUCTOR HAS LESS RESISTANCE AND WILL PRODUCE LESS RESISTANCE MEANS THERE WILL BE LESS HEAT PRODUCED.
