Answer:

|x+y| = 1 ------------------(1)

x-y=0

x=y ---------------------(2)

form 1 and 2

|y+y| = 1

|2y|=1

so in |2y| 2y can be be both negative or positive

so

-2y = 1

y = -1/2

or

2y = 1

y = 1/2

and x = y

so option D is correct answer

I HOPE IT HELPS AND IF IT DOES PLEASE MARK AS BRAINLIEST

HEY FRIEND....

Answer:

(D) x=y=1/2 or x=y= -1/2

Step-by-step explanation:

Given equation...

  1. |x+y|=1----------------1.equation
  2. x-y=0

*when we find the value of 'x' from the second equation we get ""x=y""

*when we substitute value of x in 1st equation...like this

  • |x+y|=1 》》》 |x+x|=1 》》》|2x|=1
  • So now it can be written in "-2x=1" and"2x=1"
  • Now we get 2x=1 》x= -1/2
  • And we het -2x=1 》x= -1/-2 so negative sign will be cancelled out from the denominator and numerator so it will become x=1/2

  • So we get 2 values of x when we put value of x in y. we can also find value of y and put in x.
  • So we can say that x=y= 1/2 or x=y= -1/2

May this help uh bro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
