it is because everyone have different genes and due to variations , no individuals are alike.

it is due to meiosis which make differnet combinations of chromosomes by the prosses of crossing over in which chrosomes segmwnta are exchanged by each other and due to this even daughters or sons of a person are different from each other .
so if we say about population then again in population their are many numbers of chromosomes and then genes on them therefore each parent produce child giving their chromosomes to their children which are different from other persons .and yes,croosing over produce special chromosomes combinations.
