No work is done on a suitcase if a man holding it walks on a horizontal paltform but work is done on suitcase when he climbs a staircase why?

When a man is walking on a horizontal platform the angle formed would be perpendicular to the surface =90°,thus as sin90° = 0 work done in such case would be 0.

The formula for work done is f*d cos theta
When one jst walks horizontally holding sumthng the angle is 90dgree and cos 90=0 we know on the other hand when we climb sum where the angle of elevation is nt 90hence work is not done in first case by in second it's done.......
