Hey, This answer can simplified in following points..
1. He worked very hard for his monosyllabic dialogue.
2. Even after working hard he preferred his satisfaction over money.
3. His sudden change towards dialogue.
You can further elaborate the points.

"No work is small or petty" because when Patol Babu gets the opportunity to play the role of a absent minded pedestrian, he remembers his mentor's words, "Remember one thing Patol; however small a part you are offered, never consider it beneath your dignity to accept it. As an artist your aim should be to make the most of your opportunity, and squeeze the last drop of meaning out of your lines. A play involves the work of many and it is the combined effort of many that makes a success of the play".

Even though his dialogue is only "Oh" he tried to deliver it in a different way and he did so.
And he gets inspired by these words and does his part with great dedication. He justifies his part and gets satisfied. He doesn't even take money for his part because he cannot value his satisfaction for just some amount.

This shows that "No work is small or petty" each has a value.

:) Hope this Helps !!!
