Noble gases already have a stable octet, they have the maximum number of electrons in their outermost shell, they can take. For example, Helium is a noble gas it's outermost shell is K which can carry only 2 electrons and helium has 2 electrons. Same with Neon it's outermost shell is L which have 8 electrons which is it's maximum capacity.
